The Global Survey of Weather Modification Activities is coordinated by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Expert Team on Weather Modification (ET-WM) under the Commission for Weather, Climate, Water and Related Environmental Services and Applications (SERCOM).
The ET-WM provides scientific and technical guidance to WMO Members on the responsible research, evaluation, and operational application of weather modification techniques. Its members bring together expertise in cloud physics, atmospheric research, radar meteorology, and program management from across the world.

The Expert Team advises WMO on:
Coordinating and documenting global weather modification activities.
Supporting scientific evaluation, data transparency, and ethical practice.
Developing and promoting guidance for research, experimentation, and operational implementation of weather modification projects.
Facilitating collaboration between national meteorological and research institutions.
Through this survey, the ET-WM aims to enhance global understanding of weather modification practices and to support WMO Members in building robust, evidence-based programmes aligned with international scientific standards.
